Governor Vacancies

School governors make up the largest volunteer force in the county and play an important role in ensuring children receive a quality education.

Each school in the Trust has an Academy Council - apart from East and West Hunstpill Primary Schools which share an Academy Council. Each Academy Council has 10 governors who bring with them a range of skills and experience to help challenge and support the leadership team of each school.

We currently have vacancies for Co-opted governors on a number of our Academy Councils. Co-opted governors are people from the local community who are brought on to the Academy Council for the particular skills or knowledge they bring. They don't need to have a background in education as many skills from business are transferable to the role of governor. We also offer training and support to our governors to help them succeed.
